History of Nepal Hapkido Association
The Nepal Hapkido Association (NHA) was founded with the vision of promoting the Korean martial art of Hapkido in Nepal, empowering individuals through its philosophies and techniques, and contributing to the personal and societal development of its practitioners. Established in 2008 by Grand Master Kali Bahadur Gharti Magar, the association began as a modest initiative, with the primary goal of introducing and cultivating Hapkido throughout the country.
Since its inception, the association has expanded significantly, spreading the practice of Hapkido across Nepal’s seven provinces and 65 districts. The NHA has worked tirelessly to establish a strong foundation by organizing training programs, workshops, and seminars, while fostering a sense of discipline, respect, and personal growth among its members.
Hapkido was formally introduced to Nepal in 2008 by Grand Master Kali Bahadur Gharti Magar, who played a pivotal role in the development of the discipline within the country.
